Jennifer Sutera is an individual who's made a lifetime and a career of
educating children. It's not a side job or a hobby. With her husband Stephen
of 28 years, Jennifer raised three children, Stephen, Lauren and Jacqueline.
Jennifer and her husband moved to Manalapan in December 1999 seeking a better
life and the education that was promised by a rising suburban school district.
Two of her three children graduated Manalapan H.S.in 2003 and 2008 and her
youngest is expected to graduate in 2010.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Jennifer attended the New York City public school
system. She earned a BA in Education from BrooklynCollege in 1977, and a
NYC Teaching License in 1979.In 2005, she earned a NJ Certification in K-8
Elementary Education and Middle School Math Certification. Jennifer is not
an observer of education, she is a practitioner. She has been teaching since
1979 and is currently teaching 5th grade in Lakewood, NJ. Committed to
helping children, Jennifer is a certified catechist, has volunteered at St.
Thomas Moore for nine years and has been an active volunteer for the
Manalapan Heritage Committee for the last three years.
Jennifer is running for the Manalapan seat on the FRHSD school board to fulfill
that promise of a rich educational experience for our children that brought
so many of us to this area, a promise that grows dimmer each year. Jennifer's
experience and education allows her to bring new ideas to enhance school
programs and to cut the unnecessary and wasteful spending that deprives our
students from expanding their educational opportunities. As Jennifer herself
says, "I believe we need to run our schools more efficiently and focus on
ways to better educate our students.I would also like to establish better
communications with the tax paying residents and disclose the school board's
proposed programs and its spending, because the taxpayers have a right to
know." That's the spirit and dedication that has been missing from the FRHSD
for far too long. Jennifer will work hard to drive the school board district
forward into the 21st century. She believes it's time for change, that
positive change is good, and, in this case, that it is necessary for this
school district to fulfill the promise that first convinced us to buy houses
in this area. With the help of enough voters who care about their children
to vote on April 21, 2009, Jennifer can make that promise a reality.
Jennifer knows that promises are not enough. It takes work. It takes
experience. It takes ability. She'll provide all of that. We just need to
provide our votes April 21. Together, we can and we will turn the promise of
this district into reality.

Horvath was in favor of the redistricting!! The fact that the southern section of Manalapan doesn't have ANY Horvath signs says it ALL!! She doesn't care about them.
Horvath approved the Dr. Wasser issue!! She defended him!! She also approved the bill to Breyer State!!
Horvath approved Wasser's midterm contract at 1:30 in the morning!! It just happened to be just before Wasser went for his phony degree!!
